블랙베리 플레이북 탈옥 gleberry

이해할 수 없는 가격과 플랫폼의 한계로 시장진입에 실패한 플레이북(Playbook)은(참고 1, 2) RIM의 골치거리이기도 하고, 아이패드와 같은 가격이었던 플레이북은 절반 수준의 $200대(2011.12.9 기준 $288, 한화 약 32만8천)에 떨이 판매되는 중입니다.(참고) (이렇게 싸게 내놔도, 플랫폼 때문인지 재고처리조차 되질 않는가 봅니다.) 플레이북 제조사인 대만 퀀타는 공장생산직 직원 1천여명을 해고했고, RIM 역시 2천여명을 해고했다고 합니다.

그 플레이북의 탈옥인 Dingleberry 소개입니다. RIM은 애플과 같이 기기자율성을 인가하지 않습니다. 따라서 아래 탈옥은 펌웨어를 업데이트 할 경우, 막힐 수도 있습니다.

시작하기전에 준비로는, ① 플레이북에 전원케이블을 연결해야하며, PC에 USB 싱크 케이블을 연결해야 합니다. ② Storage 와 Seeting에서 File Sharing과 Wi-Fi Sharing에서 패스워드 입력을 해제하고, Security Panel과 Develpoer Mode를 enable 시켜야합니다.

 
STEP1  Dingleberry [다운로드] 후 압축을 해제하고, Dingleberry.exe를 실행합니다.
STEP2 Continue 를 클릭
  

STEP3  플레이북을 USB케이블로 PC에 연결한 다음, Dingleberry가 요구할 때 필요한 fields(IP Adress, Password)를 입력합니다.

STEP4 Jailbreak 버튼을 클릭한 다음 잠시 기다리면 몇 분뒤에 Dingleberry 가 끝나고 탈옥 프로세스가 완료됩니다.

플레이북은 아래와 같은 방법으로 안드로이드 어플리케이션을 구동할 수도 있습니다.(via)

Step 1: Install PlayBook OS 2.0 Beta on your PlayBook [Official Website]

Step 2: Root your BlackBerry PlayBook with DingleBerry [Instructions].

Step 3: Download Google Apps [CyanogenMod Wiki].

Step 4: Package an Android app as a .bar file, install and launch it to set things up. Consider installing a launcher app since it will be required later on to actually launch Market. Get one from here [PlayBook BARS]

Step 5: Using WinSCP for Windows, log into your BlackBerry PlayBook as root. Copy thesystem folder from Google Apps in Step 3 to the root of your PlayBook’s storage and merge it with the PlayBook’s own system folder.

Step 6: Using a terminal with root access, enter the following commands:

mv /system/app/SetupWizard.apk /system/app/SetupWizard.apk.bak

Step 7: You must now kill the Android Player with:

cd /apps/sys.android.XXXX.ns/native/scripts

and then run ./android-player-cmd.sh kill-android-core.sh

The XXXX above is different for each device.

Step 8: Using a launcher from Step 4, launch Android Market and enter account details.
